USB Port control

Agreed. This would be extremely helpful and it is crucial that it includes USBs and other types of external storage (SD card, CD/DVD, etc.)

Would love to see this for both USB Storage devices and Optical Drives as this would help meet compliance and data exfiltration policy needs

Disable USB Storage by default, with allow options

Moving to huntress and I really need the option to disable USB storage devices and to allow them when required, please can this feature be added?

I think this absolutely make sense and is required for many of the security/compliance frameworks. It's a little bit involved because you have to identify USB devices by unique IDs so that you can approve usage of approved devices on specific machines. Unless all that was wanted was a wholesale block of all devices, but I doubt that will be palateable in practice.

Chris Bisnett Please implement granular exclusions for organizations, endpoints, and storage devices. Ensure HID peripherals like mice and keyboards remain functional while restricting storage, and provide detailed logs of blocked attempts for easier identification and whitelisting.

This would be a helpful function. It should operate on VID/PID and have the ability to mark individual storage devices as allowed on individual machines/entire org and to mark by model as allowed on individual machines/entire org.

Ability to Control Removable Storage access or Alert when Removable Storage is Connected.

The partner would like to be able to control host that have access to removable storage. Would like the ability to allow or block the connection to the removable storage. Would be nice to also have a low alert when a external storage device is connected. That way the team is notified when an unauthorized storage device is connected.

One of the features I miss the most from Sentinel One. We could block USB storage devices but allow specific devices by their hardware ID. But just being able to block them would be great.

Is there any further updates/feedback from Huntress on this feature request?

This would be great if Bluetooth could be added to this. Certain Certifications require USB and Bluetooth to be disabled except for named devices

We tried using Intune but unblocking for usage took longer than we were happy with. We use Registry settings now but being able to set it up in Huntress with Profiles would be easier to see and confirm which devices are USB Locked. It's a big piece of audits we're currently going thru.
