We have a small subset of customers using Windows Home (less than 5%), but it would be great to be able to manage it in the Managed AV dash.

We've started rolling out agent update 0.13.24, so as the agents on your Win 10 Home and Win 11 Home machines update they will become compatible and start inheriting the policies from your account and organizations if they are set to Enforce.

Big thanks for everyone's feedback here and patience as we get this one out!

The goal is to release our support for Win 10 Home and Win 11 Home for Managed AV before the 18th this month so we can announce it in our monthly newsletter. We've had to rethink the way we managed Home OS since they don't use Group Policy and that is how we currently manage non-Home OS. We're just testing it internally now, so as long as nothing unexpected arises we should be able to release soon!
Thank you for your input and patience!

Taylor Bryant: I'm curious - could whatever method you are using on Home devices be extended to domain-joined devices that don't have line-of-sight to the DC for blessing the LGPO-based changes? Curious as we have a small but significant subset of devices that went 'WFH' and don't frequently see their DCs which makes it a bit of a pain when applying policy for the first time, or requires planning if policy changes are needed.

Any Update on this? During the onboarding demo early last month, I think we were told this was only a couple of weeks out.

We have an overwhelming number of workstations using Win10 Home. Please support future development. Thank you.

We have 63 endpoints running Windows 10, 11 Home. I would love to upgrade them all to Pro but they are residential users and we are small town rural. We are holding off on our rollout until Home support goes live. Fingers crossed that it will be soon.

We plan to support Windows 10 Home despite this OS version not having Group Policy support. Under the hood, it looks like we’ll be able to manage the corresponding registry keys to make this happen. Barring anything completely unexpected, we’ll make this happen.

Kyle Hanslovan: Thanks Kyle. Would be most handy where we onboard a new client where there is a nest of Win10 H & SL that will only come out with natural attrition as the devices get replaced

Kyle Hanslovan: with @Bryan just got off chat support and was given this link. You guys are almost there with a decent feature set for Defender but we have 78 endpoints listed as "incompatible" and it makes it difficult to troubleshoot anything with such a large number of them knowing that they are probably Home Edition. We have to deal with them as part of on-boarding as well and client is not going to go for the cost of upgrade if not really needed.
I do see you added the ability to sort by organization on the account dashboard.. thanks.

Kyle Hanslovan: Is this still in the works? I have a couple Windows 10 Home that I'm working on trying to get them to upgrade to Pro, but some customers are stubborn. The Home still states Incompatible.

Mark Giordano: Hi Mark -- Support for Windows 10 Home is definitely still in the works. There's a good amount of R&D we're going through to make this happen, but we have definitely not lost sight of this need.
