Set a start date for location rules

I need the ability to set a start date for location rules in advance. This feature would be beneficial for situations like when a senior lawyer is going on a cruise, and I have the stopover dates. I want to add these dates proactively rather than scheduling them manually later, which can be risky.

Pre-Planned International Travel Date Exceptions
Jessica LaRegina
We get a lot of requests for international travel PRIOR to the user leaving. Sometimes we get them up to a few weeks prior to departure. There is a good way in Unwanted access to set an expiration for when the travel STOPS but there is currently no way to set up when the travel STARTS as the exception starts as soon as the rule is created. I think it would be an very helpful feature if you could set the start AND stop date of the expected travel, so IT departments could fulfill these requests as we get them, and not have to flag them to to do in the future. Sometimes I have caught the tech's putting the exceptions in right away, which will open a country prior to travel and could potentially open a security hole. In addition sometimes a user is traveling to multiple countries over a few month period, so you can go in there and set up the exceptions once instead of having to go in multiple times. It would be more efficient and more secure if we could set the start and stop travel dates.

I literally just added the same comment. Its more efficient and more secure from a help desk perspective if we can set the start date of travel.

Location Rule Enhancement - Start Date

Hi, its great you have added the ability to create a rule in ITDR so we can advise of if a users behavior is expected (eg traveling overseas) and when this rule should expire.
However, for the moment it seems like the "expected" rule will start from the day I set the rule until I set it to expire.
From a helpdesk perspective it would save a lot of time if we could also set the start date. This way, the moment we receive notification from the end user we can set the schedule and close the ticket... rather than having to log in the day before/on the day and setting the exception.
Also if the date could be in localised time rather than UTC it would be great!

I agree that this is needed, however I received feedback that this may not be something they plan on implementing. At least not in the foreseeable future.
